Today’s Photo Friday theme is Summer…and nothing says “summer” quite like another infestation of building-climbing ivy.
In the perpetual struggle between Jesus and the fertility gods, it looks like the pagans have taken Saint Bernard Church…
…and are now creeping onto the County Courthouse.
And on West Street, the facade of the Keene Sentinel building has been almost entirely assimilated.
Long live summer!

I really love the way that looks, but in a few years, the ivy will get old and spindly and start to eat the grout between the bricks, and they will be sorry they let it get so thick!

Yep, I wouldn’t want this growing on a building I *owned*. But on someone else’s place, it’s lovely!
