Is it me, or is there something hugely creepy about a life-size, realistic baby doll crammed and abandoned in the back of a locked car?

This is the last entry I posted on my old blog before it disappeared. I think this creepy doll might be somehow to blame.

That is creepy. Definitely. I find abandoned dolls creepy anyway. Headless Barbies? Shudder.

It looks so unhappy! And what’s that around its wrist?

You know, Dave, I was too creeped-out to get too terribly close to this car (it didn’t help that it was parked in a service station, and I didn’t want any of the employees to think I was messing with it), so I don’t know what’s tied to its wrist.
And yeah, “Maison3,” I’m with you about abandoned dolls, or even old stuffed animals with creepy eyes. I’m usually not superstitious, but there’s something about an object that looks like it’s watching you that’s eerie.

Lorianne, I love your new blog space and the pics look terrific in it. Congrats on the move, it’s a positive one. I agree about staring dolls but my stuffed lion is lovely and has presence. I even talk to it sometimes (so I’m creepy, so?).

Oh, I love most stuffed animals…but my parents have an old black cat in their basement that is an exception. It has these creepy eyes that seem to follow you around the room. I’ll have to snap a pic the next time I’m home.
But talking to a cute, cuddly, or impressive stuffed animal is something else entirely: I can completely relate to that, so I must be “creepy,” too.

*shudder*
It’s not you. It’s very, very creepy.
