Here’s more proof that at least one of our neighborhood red-tailed hawks is still hanging around the Cochituate Aqueduct Trail.
Nice shot. I like that puffed-up look and the head-on stare.
It was a chilly morning, so s/he was puffed against the cold. I had to take a half dozen shots to get one where the hawk was looking at me, since s/he was otherwise regally indifferent.
S/he’s a beauty! Do they stick around here all winter?
If there’s enough food, yes. Given how many fat squirrels we have in the neighborhood, I’m guessing there will be no shortage of hawk-food.
Was that taken recently? It’s really nice.
I took it this morning while walking my dog.
Very nice capture, Loriannne.
He was a very compliant photographic subject.
