Top down for spring

In case you didn’t hear the resounding whoop of joy echoing across the blogosphere, we broke the 70-degree mark here in southern New Hampshire yesterday. Breaking the 70-degree barrier means spring is here–or at least it was here yesterday–and with that come all the usual signs of spring fever. Convertible tops are down, people are lined up to buy and eat ice cream outside, motorcyclists are roaming in droves, and Luca’s Mediterranean Cafe has begun serving dinner alfresco. And on the campus of Keene State College, where today I’ll face three classes of morning-after undergrads, students were taking full advantage of mild temperatures, springtime sun, and newly greening grass. Looks like Keene is having a spring fling.
