Early this morning, feeling uninspired in the blog department, I took a autumn-brisk walk through downtown Keene–no dog, just me and my camera–to see what I could see. Feel free to add your own caption to this ragtag assortment of odd images.

Great shots Lorianne…..the first one should have a caption under it that says, “Take us to your leader” LOL
I also just wanted to commemorate the anniversary today of 9-11, your Canadian neighbours will always remember that day as well. God bless those families who were so sadly affected, and those struggling in the wake of Katrina.

The first one in particular caught my eye because we get these very same light images/reflections on houses throughout our neighborhood. A couple of years ago someone (from the neighborhood, I hope) left a flyer on our door telling us that these lights are messages from higher beings. That these are signs that they are sending blessings to us. I don’t know, but I guess I’m glad I live in this part of town–where the morning light hits the windows in the just the right way to cause these refractions? There’s likely a very “natural” explanation, but after reading that flyer I’m left to wonder if it’s a “super” natural phenomenon. Keene must be blessed in the same way!

I like the reflections! In particular, the wedding dress one is interesting.

You have such a good eye for interesting images. I loved reflective ones. The last two are funny.

I would guess the “aliens” to be parking meter reflections. Are they?

Yes, great images. The last two are funny. The bride is nice, but also funny – she appears to have lost her head. >:-)

Bari, my favorite funny shot is the beauty shop that says “Walk-ins welcome / CLOSED.” Talk about mixed messages! 🙂
Regarding the “alien” lights…I spent a *long* time trying to determine which windows were reflecting these particular patterns. (And yes, it’s morning light reflecting off windows, similar to the evening reflections I’ve posted before:

The creepy thing is, the reflected light shows a grid pattern…and the windows across the way *don’t* have grids. So I’m still a bit stumped about where the light was reflecting & why it showed gridded shadows….maybe the higher beings know? 🙂
Of the reflective windows, the bride’s dress is my favorite. Yes, she’s lost her head…but the floating chandelier works nicely as a substitute, kind of like the Headless Horseman with his jack-o-lantern. 🙂
