If you or someone you know lost a pair of glasses near Beaver Brook Falls, I know where you can find them, infinitely cleaner after a whole night of almost-freezing rain. If the backdrop of this image looks familiar, it’s because I posted a similar shot on a grading day back in November. Today’s another grading day for the last of my fall semester online classes, so it’s just as well that the day isn’t distracting me with any meteorological charms.

I think this could be kind of a cool theme for a blog (and as I write this I think it must already exist) — lost and found. Ah, yes – there is, in fact, a lostandfound.com, but it’s the real kind, like they have at the principal’s office in elementary school.
The one I’m imagining would be about the images. Maybe lostandabandoned.com.

Very lyrical image.
Rain here too. And after the weather people got me all excited with dire predictions of a winter storm. Drat.

A few days ago, I was stopped at a light and the car in the next lane had a pair of glasses on the trunk. I hopped out, grabbed them, and tapped on the lady’s window. She nearly jumped out of her skin, but once she saw my intent, opened the window to retrieve her glasses–I wonder if she was supposed to be wearing them to drive.
Forty degrees this morning, brrrrrrrrr! Guess I won’t be getting much sympathy from New Hampshire.

They’re not mine, but if they’re reading glasses, I’ll take them. I’m down to two pair…

Not mine. It’s sunglasses that I always lose.
What a great photo!
