The “alien eyes” I’ve blogged twice before–weirdly shaped, glowing patterns reflected from sunlit windows upon nearby brick walls–re-appeared in Keene this weekend, this time on an otherwise obscure building tucked behind Main Street. This particular alien eye looks like a glowing target: X marks the spot. It’s helpful, I think, to be occasionally reminded of the luminosity that indwells even lifeless brick and mortar, the Shekhinah shining even in back alleys and forgotten corners.

Lorianne, I love these types of reflections! Here’s my own version:

Lorianne, what amazes me is the difference between a bricks and mortar photograph and a zengraph of bricks, mortar and light. It is, of course, in the eye of the beholder. The same goes for your previous “layers” photo-essay.
I facilitate a dream group and these photos are perfect illustrations of the complexity of dreams, the challenge of putting words to the imagery and symbolism of dream interpretation.
Thanks, as always.
