Bottled

In previous years, I’ve had little problem deciding which photo to share for Photo Friday‘s annual “Best of” challenge. This year, though, no one photo jumped to mind, so I clicked through my 2008 archive to chose my favorite five.

The above image is an extreme (and extremely reflective) close-up of Josiah McElheny’s Endlessly Repeating Twentieth Century Modernism, which I blogged in May. Next is a greedy gull I snapped during a trip to Revere Beach in October…

Mouthful

…which calls to mind another gull I blogged after a trip to Los Angeles in January.

Perched on the pier

Closer to home is a silly shot I snapped at a New England Revolution soccer game, which I blogged in August

Say cheese

…and even more mundane is the accidental geometry of an image I shot on a sunny day in April. Which of these “fave five” is the best of 2008? Take your pick.

Table for two
