A sunny, clear-skied morning. From every house hangs a sparkling chandelier of intricate icicles.
This is my final submission to a river of stones, a month-long challenge to notice (and record) one thing every day. I hope you’ve enjoyed the past month of getting stoned.

Wow! A fittingly impressive finale. The icicles really do look like the sparkling strings of glass droplets on a chandelier.
I’ve loved reading all your ‘small stones’ this month, each one deceptively simple and beautifully polished.

It’s been fun taking a break from blogging without taking a break from blogging. With all the snow we’ve had (and are still getting!) this year, the icicles have been unbelievable. They’re a real nuisance to homeowners if they cause a back-up of snowmelt, which then leaks through the roof. But they’re lovely to look at, like crystal curtains.
