This morning’s shady dog-walk along part of the Cochituate Aqueduct here in Newton offered yet more proof that the suburbs are where the wild things are.

I still can’t believe how close we got. Reggie and I were literally standing under the tree where this hawk was perched, and it never flew. It just ignored us.
